RESIDENTIAL SHADE SAIL PROJECTS ACROSS PERTH
Take a look at our completed residential shade sail installations throughout Perth suburbs. Each project showcases custom designs tailored to suit local homes and outdoor spaces. Whether you’re after added shade, style, or sun protection, get inspired by what we’ve done for other Perth homeowners.
Ascot Shade Sail Installation
We installed two custom triangular shade sails over a goldfish pond at this Ascot home. The client requested filtered light rather than full block-out, which we achieved using Olive Rainbow Z16 fabric. The shade sails are supported by powder-coated Classic Cream poles, blending perfectly with the garden setting.
Bateman Pool Shade Sail
This custom rectangular shade sail in Bateman was designed to shield the pool from leaves falling from nearby park trees. Sloped towards the boundary, it guides debris away from the water and toward the fence line. We used Royal Blue Z16 fabric with powder-coated poles in Cottage Green & Deep Ocean to blend with the fence.
Bayswater Hyper Shade Sail
This waterproof hyper-style shade sail in Bayswater was custom-built to protect the client’s car and provide shelter from the rain when walking to the house. Made with durable Cinnamon fabric, it’s supported by three powder-coated Woodland Grey poles and a rafter bracket. A 1.3m height difference across the diagonals ensures effective water runoff.
Beeliar Pool Shade Sail
A bold Rainbow Z16 Mulberry shade sail installed over a Beeliar pool area. Attached to the home, outdoor wall, and two black powder-coated posts — a striking contrast to the neutral tones.
Bentley Overlapping Shade Sail
Two overlapping Rainbow Z16 Charcoal shade sails installed in Bentley with a clean, uniform slope. Fixed with three Classic Cream poles and rafter brackets for strong tension and durability.
Bibra Lake Hyper Shade Sail
A dynamic Desert Sand Z16 hyper sail installed in Bibra Lake. Four Surf Mist posts—two in the garden, two on the pool deck—allow sun to warm the pool while providing stylish cover.
Bicton Pool Shade Sail
Two overlapping Desert Sand Z16 shade sails installed in Bicton for afternoon sun protection. Anchored to the wall with chemical-set eyebolts and one Classic Cream powder-coated boundary post.
Booragoon Shade Sail
A large hyper-style Rainbow Z16 sail installed in Booragoon, covering half the pool. Secured to Hamersley-coloured poles – 1.2m height difference for a modern twist, improved runoff, & wind flow.
Bullcreek Shade Over Cars
Two overlapping Rainbow Z16 Charcoal sails installed in Bullcreek to shield vehicles from the sun. Supported by three Deep Ocean powder-coated poles and four rafter brackets for solid, lasting protection.
Bullcreek Entrance Shade Sail
Stuart Bell Sails designed and installed a custom shade sail at the entrance of this Bullcreek property. Our team specialises in tailored shade solutions that enhance street appeal while offering practical sun protection.
Bullcreek Shade Sail Over Pool
A large hyper-style Rainbow Z16 shade sail was installed over a large swimming pool in Bullcreek. The fabric and Classic Cream poles were colour-matched to the pool paving and patio for a seamless, cohesive look.
Burswood Shade Sail Multi Triangles
Two triangular Rainbow Z16 Charcoal sails installed in Burswood to provide partial pool shade and privacy from a nearby two-storey home. Flexible Classic Cream pole placement allowed for a smart, discreet solution.
Cannington Shade Sail Over Pool
A large hyper shade sail was installed over this pool to reduce evaporation and chemical use. It also creates comfortable shade for hot summer days. The sail is Rainbow Z16, with black powder-coated steel posts.
Cannington Courtyard Sails
Shade sails were installed to cool this artificial lawn, protecting the owner’s small dogs from burnt paws on hot days. The fabric is Z16 in Desert Sand, with Classic Cream powder-coated steel posts.
Canning Vale Privacy Screen & Hyper Sail
A privacy screen was installed to block neighbouring views, while a hyper shade sail added shade over the poolside paving – perfect for relaxing between swims. A great example of how shade sails enhance outdoor spaces.
Canning Vale Shade Sail Over Pool
A large hyper shade sail was installed over this exposed outdoor pool to provide much-needed relief from the sun. With four supporting posts, it covers around two-thirds of the pool – balancing shade without cooling the water too much.
Ferndale Shade Sail Over Courtyard
Gosnells Privacy Screen
A privacy screen anchored to six posts was installed along the side of the house, reducing glare from the late afternoon sun. This not only added privacy but also helped cool the exposed walls and windows. Fabric is Rainbow Z16 in Charcoal, with Paperbark powder-coated posts.
Kardinya Shade Sail Over Cars
After purchasing a new car, the customer needed a shade sail to protect the paintwork. The sun can quickly fade the paintwork on most cars, and if left exposed, it can devalue them quite quickly. To combat this, a shade sail was installed to provide the protection required.
Lathlain Shade Sail With Privacy Skirt
The customer had neighbours on two sides of his property who could look into his house. The design was to attach a privacy skirt to each sail to block the gap between the edge of the sail and the fence. The desired result was achieved, and the customer now had not only shade but privacy as well.
Leeming Multiple Triangles Over Pool
Wanting a set of triangular sails over one rectangular sail, the effect was quite impressive. Contrasting colours, Cinnamon and Desert Sand, worked well, blending in with the pool deck and house. We came back later in the year and installed a sail over the caravan.
Leeming Shade Sail Over Pool
This was a replacement sail over a pool. The existing poles were still quite stable, and with the new sail we were able to get it nice and tight. Fabric is Rainbow Charcoal E32.
Lynwood Shade Sail Over Playground
A local church required shade for their young parishioners. A uniform hyper design was achieved with a small gap between sails to allow some light through. Fabric is Rainbow Desert Sand Z16 and poles powder-coated Woodland Grey.
Manning Replacement Sail Over Pool
15 year old poles – the owner wanted to freshen up the area with new sails. Utilising the original hyper design & a generous cut on each sail edge, we pulled the sail out nice and taut. Significant curves were added to each edge to prevent sagging.
Morley Courtyard Shade Sail
Two adjacent sails were installed to shade a paved outdoor area. Each sail is track-secured to the house side and extends to poles along the fence line. Using track ensures there are no gaps between the sail and the house.
Fabric is Poly FX in BlueGum, with white powder-coated posts.
Mosman Park Shade Sail Over Pool
Multi-sided sail fixed to the existing pole and house structure. This Mosman Park Shade Sail gives fantastic shade to the pool area and ties in beautifully with the house design.
Fabric is Z16 Charcoal.
Mt Claremont Courtyard Shade Sails
The afternoon sun streamed into the main living area, heating it up. A combination of triangular and rectangular sails was used to block the sun and create shade in the courtyard.
Fabric is Rainbow Desert Sand Z16 and poles powder-coated Dune.
Murdoch Multi Triangles
Rather than a single rectangular sail, the customer chose three triangular Rainbow Charcoal Z16 sails for a unique layered look. Using poles at different heights powder coated in Wilderness and a rafter bracket, we created a dynamic multi-level design.
Murdoch Shade Over Courtyard
Installed to shade the outdoor area and reduce heat on the walls, lowering energy costs. The artificial lawn became unbearably hot at midday, so shade was essential. We used Rainbow Charcoal and Silver Z16 fabric with poles powder coated in Woodland Grey.
Nedlands Shade Sails Over Pool Deck
A stylish Rainbow Charcoal Z16 sail now shades this long pool area, making it pleasant even in hot sun. With a concrete base, we welded plates to the poles for secure fixing, using a hyper design to handle the Fremantle Doctor.
Parkwood Shade Sail Over Cars
To cover more cars, we installed a large triangular Rainbow Desert Sand E32 sail with intermediate posts for extra fixing points. Height variation in the Classic Cream powder coated poles created a layered appearance.
Piara Waters Courtyard Sail
A hyper design with a 500 mm diagonal fixing point difference creates a subtle twist, directing water into the garden while the low Woodland Grey pole shades the summer sun path. Fabric is Rainbow Charcoal Z16.
Riverton Shade Sail For Car
Two new poles and wall fixings provided shade for an extra family car. Posts were placed on grass to minimise the risk of vehicle contact, and the sail was made from Rainbow Charcoal Z16 with Monument powder coated poles.
Shelley Privacy Skirt
A skirt was added to block a neighbour’s view and the morning sun. This Rainbow Desert Sand Z16 addition, with Surf Mist powder coated poles, has become a popular enhancement to shade sail designs.
Shelley Replacement Sail
Replaced a Desert Sand Z16 sail after many years of service, with the original fittings still in good condition.
Shelley Sail Over Pool
Poles were installed before landscaping began to minimise disruption, providing shade for a newly built pool with a Rainbow Charcoal Z16 sail and Monument powder coated poles.
South Lakes Shade Sails Over Pool
A two-stage project: a rectangular sail first, followed by a triangular sail using existing posts plus one new one. The Desert Sand Z16 sails are supported by Classic Cream powder-coated poles.
South Perth Shade Sails
Two matching Rainbow Desert Sand Z16 sails were installed from low to high points for water runoff and backyard views, using poles powder-coated in Blaze.
St James Shade Sails
A deck shade sail with a privacy skirt blocked the afternoon sun. Extra fence support ensured a taut, wrinkle-free Rainbow Charcoal Z16 finish.
Success Shade Sail – Multi Triangle
Three triangular Rainbow Charcoal Z16 sails at varying heights created a striking pool cover, set in different directions for a dynamic look. The poles were powder-coated in Ironstone.
Thornlie Carport Shade Sail
Two hyper Rainbow Black Z16 sails installed side by side divided the large driveway space into more attractive sections, supported by white powder-coated poles.
Victoria Park Carport Sail
Using one wall of the house and a single pole, we created a taut Rainbow Charcoal Z16 hyper sail with excellent runoff, supported by Ironstone powder-coated poles.
Willetton Shade Sail Over Driveway
Two navy blue Rainbow Z16 sails shaded the front door and two cars, using the carport wall and white poles for height variation.
Willetton Swimming Pool & Privacy Skirt
A pool sail with a skirt blocked the afternoon sun, providing excellent coverage for a young family. The fabric is Rainbow Charcoal Z16, and the poles are Classic Cream powder-coated.
Wilson Shade Sail – Swimming Pool Sail
Three poles and a jarrah rafter bracket supported a Rainbow Royal Blue Z16 pool deck sail for comfort and sun protection, with poles powder-coated in Paperbark.
Yangebup Pool Shade Sails
Two triangular sails in Rainbow Silver and Royal Blue Z16 provided shade while keeping the pool area bright and warm. The Ironstone powder-coated poles complemented the home’s exterior.
